Delta
Clydesdale Bank are issuing new notes in time for the "Scotland Homecoming" celebrations featuring famous Scots and our world heritage locations. £5 Sir Alexander Fleming and St. Kilda. £10 Robert Burns and Edinburgh. £20 Robert the Bruce and New Lanark. £50 Elsie Inglis and the Antonine Wall. £100 Charles Rennie Mackintosh and Neolithic Orkney. Nice to see CB kept up the tradition of having the ugliest banknotes in the UK So for the immediate future the UK will have 10 different sets of circulating banknotes! Scottishmoney
Yep, they are fuglier than the BoS notes which are pretty snarfy by themselves. To think, Scotland used to have very lovely banknotes in times of auld. Guess they are just submitting to Euroesque perfidy.
Delta
I like the new BoS notes! Waiting to see now what RBS will do!
Scottishmoney
Oh come on, the BoS gave into European blandness with the bridge design. I am surprised they even let Sir Walter Scott stay on the notes, I am not so sure he would even like them.

Johnny 1989
I rather like them, along with the BoS ones as well. I'm surprised RBS haven't changed theirs before now. I shall keep a lookout for these

Dave
I've wasted an hour of my life cropping and uploading! Enjoy Oh! I also found out these wont be circulating until late in the year. Well, your efforts are appreciated! Thank you. I don't know that I'd call them bland.... There are some nice design elements to them... but - they definitely skimped on the image quality. They remind me of the Argentine Australes issues in the 1980's. It truly looks like someone photoshopped them and added a burlap or linen texture, and then threw on a tint and called it good enough. The worst one is the 20 pounder; Poor Robert! I never knew he was so 'portly'. The image quality makes it look like a cartoon image after the character was rolled over by a steamroller.
