So far it is going to be coins from: USA, World (not Russia), Ancient (Antiquity), Medal.

The runner up is Error/Variety with 6 votes.

Russia still has only 5 votes :ninja: We need 4 more to get into the title bar! Also, if voting for Russia, don't pick Error/Variety, Great Britain, Ancient (Medieval), Ancient or Medal as they are our main competition.

You have to send a message to the admin AKDRV, mention that you would like to participate in the Coin People Title Bar vote. He will grant you access to the General forum, which is for some reason off limits to the general public.

Simply providing voting access to all registered users with more than (say) 25 posts would have made this far easier, and you would have seen a lot more votes.

There is a reason I put it in the Subscription-only forum. First of all, it keeps spammers from ruining the thread. Secondly, it allows truly dedicated members to have a bigger say. Now what's to stop me from making a puppet account and adding my votes. I know the way I had it is a hassle for the admins by requesting subscriptions but I feel it legitimizes the voting better.

Understand the concerns; that's why I think something like a 25-post minimum might work. You'd have to go to a lot of effort to fill up a puppet account with 25 posts just to have a vote. Just my 2c. :ninja:

Good idea. If I understood computer languages and coding better I'd propose a way to make that happen. But I'd also probably focus on dethroning google too!

Voted for Russia. How often does the toolbar gets updated? Never paid much attention to it, but looks like it now has Great Britain, Ancient, US, and something else.

I've been here 2 years and its been the same. I think the plan is to vote for new images every year to keep it fresh and interesting.

After 34 people voted - a total of 119 votes - we have our four genres that will be featured in the new Coinpeople titlebar:

United States with 21 votes

World with 15 votes

Russia with 15 votes

Ancient with 14 votes

THANKS TO EVERYONE WHO VOTED! I see that we have unanimous support for the new titlebar. I'm excited to see which coins will be up there starting, HOPEFULLY, in the new year.

I was hoping a surprise genre would be in the top 4 - like an error coin or a banknote. They had good representation but not enough.

Post US coins here

Post Ancient coins here

Post Russian coins here

Post World coin here

Please post a coin YOU OWN that you think deserves to be a representative in the new Coinpeople titlebar. Post your entry like this:

your name - coin description

For example:

From November 17th through December 31st, we will choose which coins best represent each genre.

I asked for some things from some of you in the Russian Coin Entry thread, please see if you can help me out.
