alexbq2
Here is a seemingly average Peter wire - no date visible. Average value $3 to $7 IMHO. But this one is in a slab: http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewI...em=120217164007 And behold the price is already over $40 Now, I did not bother checking it in any catalog, but my gut tells me that there's nothing special about this specimen - apart from the slab! Do let me know if my gut misinforms me!

alexbq2
This is from a self-slabber and means nothing. RWJ. So? He still managed to sell a 4 dollar coin for 40! This completely settles the debate of slab worthiness! At least on eBay resale level. So get your slabbing kits and Get Real Paid!!! And NNC does exist, and they do have these cheap looking slabs. I don't think they are any good though. http://www.nnccoingrading.com/

I think I see a bit of rub on the crown ... nice coin, but I sometimes wonder if they pull grades like this out of a hat?
