Brett
I believe that the $100 note is a modern counterfiet. It's listed as P-S3000x on http://aes.iupui.edu/rwise/countries/china..._4.html#special

ccg
Unfortuantely, I am forced to concur regarding the $100s most likely being counterfeit. See http ://cgi.ebay.com.sg/China-100Yuan-The-F...QQcmdZViewItem for a pair listed as fakes with sn#564242,564270 Interestingly, that seller also sells fake coins, but without saying they're fake. see323
Brett and others - Great knowledge on counterfeits !!! From the scan, these China notes does not have a good and clear printing. One way to find out is to scan these notes in high resolution using your scanner. Check whether the minute design details can be seen clearly. The paper they use seem to be genuine with lots of red and blue tiny secuirty thread.
