One Irish note I could not do without, when I sold off all the rest of them in 1998:

The image of Lady Hazel Lavery is a classic, and one of the most well known non George Washington, or Queen Elizabeth images ever to appear on a banknote. Lady Hazel Lavery was the wife of the artist whom painted her, and the painting was used for the banknote vignette. Sadly she died at a young age not long after the design was unveiled.

The mask on the reverse is a Celtic mask that was allegedly a river god, and was excavated in Ireland.
