Grivennik 1756 no m/m

56 from 1756 looks like an overdate over 47. And then the problem is solved: 1747 grivennik has no mintmark (Uzd. 0814). Maybe some old dies were updated in 1756...

BTW: extremely sharp details on coin!!! I like it!

Interesting coin from my collection.Grivennik 1756 no m/m/ Unlisted.

 

 

For a moment, you had me confused because these are normally struck without mintmark. ;)

 

Then I realized that it was the mintmaster's initials which were missing from the cartouche on the reverse. ;)

 

Neat coin and I assume very rare, because it is missing from every reference I checked.

 

Also, I see some repunched characters and the overdate, apparently 1756/55 and it's in nice shape to boot. :ninja:

Thank You.Coin never listed before. Only one exist in my knowledge .
