Tiffibunny
I completely forgot about these. I got them on our trip up to the North shore in August. I found them in my wallet.
ccg
Neat! I don't see many cent elongating machines...
Tiffibunny
I was actually surprised at how many there were, they were everywhere.
Art
Nice elongates. Are you taking a supply of copper Lincolns with you on vacation. I'm sure you'll run into a lot of machines. There are supposed to be at least 8 at the Grand Canyon overlooks.
Tiffibunny
Thanks for telling me. I better bring a bunch. Maybe some extras for a contest when I get back, eh?
Tiffibunny
I also believe there's a certain former ogre who collects them. Not that he can see these.
Art
I always wanted to get an elongated IHC from the Columbian Expo. They're getting quite pricey.
Trantor_3
I have a couple of them, I obtained most of them when I was in Alberta, Canada. That was my first encouter with these elongated cents. You would find machines for them everywhere and many of the machines would make you choose between several different images. I would have been broke if I'd selected each one.... I hope there are some machines for them in my next trip, I'll bring some cents. If they use the 1cent, those wil be tiny elongated cents
Trantor_3
OK, took some digging, but I have them in front of me now: Canadian Rockies, probably made that one on Sulphur Mountain near Banff. (made using a US cent Moraine Lake / Lake Louise, Alberta. Royal Tyrrell Museum, Drumheller, AB, 2 different design's could have 10 more there.. Dolfinarium Harderwijk, NL, made from a bronze blank Madurodam, NL, made from a 2 euro cent
Art
I think the 2cent € is almost the perfect size to use in the elongate machines here.
