BTW I recommend saving money by purchasing the AU/UNC ones, there's little difference and it helps me a lot.

Do you have enough 100s and 10ks to make a block? What about 10s? Say a block of 10s, 100s, 10000s?
I have enough to make many blocks of 100s, maybe a few 10s, but probably not enough 10,000s to make even one.

It's my new screensaver now. Very cool.

I'm having problems with some of the pics. Factor that in with procrastination, and you have one late PNC!

Cancellation pinholes, stamps, punch holes, etc. are not included in the grading system. The value is changed according to how rare the remainder or cancelled banknote is compared to issued varieties.
For example this Katanga cancelled serial no repeat:

It's a CU banknote despite the punch hole.

Very nice notes.

Oh, you got 10s? Most of the ones I have are 50s, and I have a few 100s, and a few 10,000s.
-
I've got other denoms but not any more than a couple hundred of each.

100 UNC to each block, serial no. consecutive: $20.00
100 UNC to each block, a bit out of order: $19.00
100 UNC-AU to each block, possible a bit out of order: $16.00
For each extra block you buy lower the price $2.00.

OK, got the info!! The PNC will continue sometime today.

Don't get too carried away!!
Collecting just Portugese notes sounds very nice, actually. There's quite a market for them and a bunch of different series.
-
I want to touch it...

I voted for #1 because I don't think it is fair that only certain people get to be on the money. It would be easier just to have the money more uniform without users ids or avatars.
I understand what you are saying, but it would still be fun. The first designs will probably not be the last, either.

Ya think they put enough 200s on that note?
-
I don't even know what to say.

Very cool error!!

It's important to keep that 5,000... at least for a while.
I'd be glad to give out CP Dollars for prizes. Please let me know the amount to be set aside for this. I don't think a special series is necessary for right now.
-
Please don't bother making a reverse. It's difficult enough to print all these out, it's not worth it.
BUT...
thanks you VERY much. And please take the liberty of putting your name and/or username somewhere on the note as the engraver.

OK... when we get the designs I'll print exactly 5,000 CP Dollars out.
Sign up to receive CP dollars and you will receive an allowance of 100 CP Dollars a month. I'll open a thread so people can sign up... also give what denominations you want to make up your 100 CP Dollars.
An angry appraisal

It seems that people who have a coin or banknote and are trying to sell it REALLY think they have "something". When told they don't, they get so nasty!!!
"I have a 1963 1000 Gulden note that is in mint condition. Are you interested?"
...maybe. How much do you want for it?
"As to cost, I have no idea of it's worth.
I responded to an ad from *insert name here* who was selling 'limited' quantities of this note in 1988 and subsequently purchased one (1) for $395.00.
Your fair offer, based on today's market value, will be acceptable."
With a price that high in 1988 I automatically assumed it was Dutch, even though no 1000 Gulden note was issued in 1963 being a Dutch note I was interested.
I said, "If the note is indeed in CU condition I may buy it.
Please send me scans or pictures so I can confirm. Another question: no 1,000 Gulden was issued in 1963. Do you have the correct date? Please view the 1938 issue:
http://aes.iupui.edu/rwise/banknotes/nethe...onatedfvt_f.jpg
And the 1972 issue:
http://aes.iupui.edu/rwise/banknotes/nethe...donatedas_f.jpg
I will pay $XXX for the older issue, and $XXX for the newer one.
Thank you sir."
I later received, "It is dated 1963 bit it is a Suriname Gulden"
Very, VERY angry when he was told that I won't pay more than $6.00 for his Surinam note. Shouldn't he check other sources before assuming the note is worth hundreds of dollars?
These 1000 Gulden Surinames are very common as they were never used, basically given out in packs of 100 to the general numismatic community directly from the bank. His friend probably paid $395 for a pack of 100.
