Quite possibly old TG had a few silvered with added pinbacks to give as Christmas presents to employees.
...and his lady friends.

I really enjoy seeing the cup/tankard - very nicely done. I have tread carefully with Shooting stuff, I see it as a very very slippery slope especially whence I occasion the gold and platinum pieces.
After you purchase your first gold Schutzenfest medal you want more, however finding a willing seller is the hard part.
-
Rod, I greatly appreciate being able to view the various shooting cups from your collection. The 1895 Winterthur is my favorite.
-
I like your theory and feel it may have been a gift (Christmas?) given to TG. The pinback portion was obviously professionally done.
Regardless, very interesting medal.

I have used these for two years and am about to order more. Thanks for reminding me...

Expensive but well made and worth every penny in my opinion.

What a great buy. I would go with the 3rd 1893 Maundy 3 pence, with #2 a close second.
Great minds think alike.

A 1953 silver Roosevelt from my favorite Asian deli in NYC, Cafe Duke on 51st Street.
The counter people here are all overworked (72 hours a week) and underpaid (???) and have no idea that there are silver coins in circulation. Most of them have no personality whatsoever but I made friends with one and taught him about star notes and pre 1964 silver coins.
See, it pays to be nice to me...

Inspiring.

Which one should I keep?
-
1893 Maundy 3 pence. The second of three.

Fairly rare and worth (I think) about $100 or more in this condition. Usually the leopards face is completely worn down.

Congrats on the very nice picture, it just reinforces, don't try & clean it.
Constanius is correct, don't try and clean it or you will lose about half of it's value.

1799 Half Penny. Weighs 12.36g with a diameter of 30mm. Doubtful I will sell this one, the color is just amazing.
-
1797 Twopence.
42mm, weight n/a, too heavy for my 40g scale.
Hard to grade this one.

1794 Holloway's Bridgewater Half Penny Condor Token (D&H Somersetshire 86)
OBV: Post Office
REV: Borough Of Bridgewater Castle Tower and Turrets on the river Parret.
EDGE: On Demand We Promise To Pay
Looks Mint State to me, especially the castle side. Sharp strike.

The second of two 1787 sixpence. This one weighs 3.0 grams and has a diameter of 22mm. This coin appears to have been struck using new dies, especially the reverse.
-
The beads of sweat are most likely a die flaw.
And a fairly interesting die flaw too. I'll post the second 1787 Sixpence which was struck from a normal die.

The first of two 1787 sixpence. This one weighs 3.01 grams and has a diameter of 21mm.
The photos only hint at the incredible toning. This beauty is a keeper, even though it's possible that it may have been cleaned at one time.
Maybe, maybe not.
Also, what are those beads of sweat on his neck?
I will eventually post new photos of this coin as time permits, it deserves special attention in my opinion.
