  1. do you have pictures??? we would love to see this piece. if you can take pictures (digital camera or scanner), you can always join OmniCoin, load your pictures to there, and then link the images here. (many of us do this, and it works well)
  2. a few more banknotes, including an upgrade for a Yugo note, a few from Uzbekistan, and I took a baby step towards expanding my collection and got an Albanian note. I always planned on eventually collecting Albanian coins/currency, as it was a Socialist state (although it withdrew from the Warsaw Pact and aligned itself with China and Viet-Nam) and was considered part of the Iron Curtain.
  3. A couple of Yugoslavian notes, and a Slovenian note (which I already had, d'oh!!), and a couple new CP currency notes, which will be in the virtual museum here in a little bit.
  4. nothing good for me, today. the wife did get some samples from Yogi Tea, so she was happy.
  5. a fat stack of banknotes (mostly Srpske Republike and Republike Srpske Krajine), and a couple 2 leva Bulgarian commems. I will get them scanned here in a little bit, and will post some pics.
  6. They aren't mine. Just got the images to remember what they look like when I finally get around to trying to find them.
  7. I like those CoAs, too. One of these days, I will eventually be able to afford the better commems like you get, Tiffi. Only 8 more years of child support, and then maybe we will see. Speaking of all the new mint packaging, etc., have you seen the new packaging the Bank of Moscow is doing? They are issuing "year set" folders for the Ancient Cities series, among others. Also have one for the "Ministries" issues of 2002, and even the WWII series of 2 roubles in 2001.
  8. Hit the coin slot of the USA Today outside work today (this is a regular score for me, I get at least 1 quarter a week, usually more). Lo and behold, we have a winner. Tossed it into my pocket without checking. Got home, and went to toss it into my jar, checking it first, as I am gathering some SQ for a British trading friend. Not a state quarter , not a silver quarter, either . Not even a US quarter Yep a Canadian quarter. . Not a normal caribou quarter that I am used to seeing, but rather a 2005 Saskatchewan quarter . Which reminds me... one of the waiters got a Canadian $5 note for a tip, so swapped him for a US$5. He thinks he got the better end of that deal, but I got the hockey note, so I was happy.
  9. one of the key dates, with a mintage of only 92,000, which is the second lowest mintage of any of the circulation strikes (that were actually released into circulation).
  10. in a package from Belgium. And in another package, a couple of minor Russian coins, a Croatian coin that fills a hole, and an Azeri note. (see OmniCoin/BnB for these)
  11. a nice little package from the UK arrived today:
  12. So, what is your collection of Czech coins?? A type set?? or does this piece fit into some other specialized set??
  13. coooool, another place to show off my new addition.
  14. only one thin little envelope in the mail today. but that thin little envelope had 11 zeroes in it. Yes, 11 zeroes, the daddy of the series. I now have the full run 5000 (5 with 3 zeroes), up to 500 billion (5 with 11 zeroes). They look pretty cool all lined up next to each other. Maybe I will find some way to mount them as a full group and hang them on the wall. Thanks to McDoo for acquiring this note on my behalf, at a more than reasonable price.
  15. yeah, yeah, yeah. rub it in!! If I could figure out how to tell time properly......
  16. Today found 2 packages in the mail. The first, from England, contained a few "less common" Croatian notes. P21,P22 and P24. The other package has 4 USSR 50 kopeck pieces, and a few other Russian and Czech pieces, most of which will show up on my OmniCoin account later this evening.
  17. from Tiffibunny. a $0.31 Yahoo! auction snag. this fits well with my "B" token, now I need to find a "C" token to complete the set.
  18. The 1970 FAO 2-coin set from Yugoslavia, with the German insert. I already have this set with the English insert. Next will be to find the third and final set, with the Serbo-Croat insert. Included in the bulk lot that had this set was also a Yugoslavia 1953-55 7-coin mint set, which I will be listing for auction later this evening, and a pair of other Yugoslavian sets, which are duplicates, and may become available, soon. Also included was a Russian set, seen in this thread.
  19. Nicaragua error note. the overprint on the reverse is inverted. If you look carefully at the left side of the note, you will see the signature and text (upside-down) that should be to the right, in the open space.
  20. 1993 Kazakhstan proof set, containing 2,5,10,20,50 tyin coins compliments of CCG, via AuctionMonster
  21. 2 big packages of minor coins from a couple different sources. 5 coins from Slovakia 6 coins from Czech Republic 1 coin from Czechoslovakia 5 coins from Hungary 1 from Serbia & Montenegro 1 from Ukraine 2 from Russia 1 from Poland 1 from E. Germany and a couple from Singapore
  22. in the middle. starts with 5000 (3 zeroes) goes up to 500 billion (11 zeroes)
