  1. Wow, I never would've guessed that. I'd be in for a 60. Are the dings typical for the grade, or only for the grade of this particular coin. I noted in the NGC collection that this series seems to be graded on a year by year basis.
  2. While I don't like all the rehashing the Buffalo is my favorite nickel design. It is a very American design and quite attractive.
  3. Two more Alexandrian Byzantine coins, the Heraclius is from the Berk-England sale of 1989. Didn't know those two ever worked together. JustinI Heraclius Also a birth year set from Nepal, made in the USA. Nepal 1972 Set
  4. Cool, in your image the field behind the bear almost makes it look like the aurora borealis
  5. What, never bought four of the same type before?
  6. I wonder if there will be an upswing in four or five years when we get to the triquicentennial (150 year?) anniversary.
  7. On first glance it looks to have some pretty detailed information. I'll let you know when I get through it.
  8. These were actually supposed to come. Two more Aleandrian Byxnatine coins. I think in the next two weeks I'll also get some more aesthtically pleasing items This one is the standard Heraclius 6 Nummi type This one is usually attributed to Phocas, 12 Nummi. I may be able to get some more detail with a little microscopic cleaning...
  9. This one was actually shipped to me by mistake. I'm kind of glad I;m not the only one who does that. Justin I 518-527, Folles, Constantinople
  10. Good, thanks. When I first looked at that I read "Vorstirn" and I couldn't figure out what a forehead had to do with femal rulers.
  11. Does that translate to "FürstinRegierung"?
  12. Domestic and Foreign Coins Manufactured by Mints of the United States 1792-1965
  13. Nice post Bill, it's very interesting to read how collecting goals form, shift, and solidify.
  14. Are you going to start with Caesar or Augustus? Are you going to do the Eastern Emperors as well or stop at some point before Diocletian or 1453? How long a lifespan will a usurper need to make it into your set? On the Greek side, I'm with you. Luckily I can't really afford any really nice ones so I am spared having to try to squeeze those into a collection
  15. My December Celator finally showed up, January's is probably not far behind.
