  1. interesting.... nice find... i like it i think where's the date? e pluribus unum? in god we trust?
  2. i'm a fan of anything made in the united states or canada.. i tend to keep them. however i organize them varies..
  3. 2x2's are cheezy... folders are a longterm mess but that's what i use right now. or tubes.. airtites are the best i guess? but how do you keep them.. at least 2x2's can be filed... danscos are the best albums? i'm not sure yet... i just keep my coins on the bookshelf
  4. i dont get anything in the mail anymore... just money orders .. i went local
  5. wow #3 & 4 are are pretty funny...

  11. that's the only one i'm missing by the end of the year though... hopefully then i've got a red set to work on and i'll need all the proofs too ugh a full brown set, and a full red set w/proofs that's all i ask
  12. yeah i think you guys are right.. i've been thinking the same thing i'd love to see how the big set would do.. guess i could put a reserve on it first... i dunno.. i have some time to figure it out. here's what i've got up right now if you're curious.. just listed a batch of BU rolls.... lotsa wheats http://search.ebay.com/_W0QQsassZcoinsnioc -papadoc aka jackson aka Dain thanks for the replies....
  13. does that make sense? as in you've got a roll of 1909, a roll of 1909vdb, 1910, 10s, etc.. all the way up to 2004. like 200+ rolls. they're all there, minus the keys.. who has a roll of 14D's anyway. but you've got let's say 11pds, 12pds, 13pds, 14ps, 15pds, 22d, 24d, etc etc.. like 100 pounds of coins. worth let's say $5000.. and you had to sell it, you can't keep it. would you put it on ebay as a whole.. something unique, don't see that too often. or put up a bunch of auctions and sell them in single rolls, or batches of PDS. the goal is to simply make as much $ as you can with it.. i hate to 'show off' but this is the task i have at hand here, selling it for the boss.. i can't figure out which would be the best way to do this, and it's kinda up to me.. i'm 50/50. one big auction would catch some attention, but how many buyers are looking for that? listing them individually would certainly work, and may bring in more, but it's not as fun... who knows, maybe there are a lot of people out there that have thought about doing it, and here's their chance to get it all at once.. so it may attract a lot of action.... i'm... torn.. what do you guys think... oh drat i wanted to make a poll but i can't?
  14. nice coin, you have lots of nice coins.. you have MS taste and lots of cash grrrrr
  15. all i still have from my childhood days of collecting isn't everything i once had.. there are a few things that i know i had, but who knows where they went.. but the one that sticks out the most is an '86 proof staute of liberty commemorative half that i got from my uncle.. for the rest of my life i'll wonder what happened to that. it's not worth much, but wtf...
  16. and may i add, that in 1984 an svdb in good was worth $275... pretty big jump for only 7 years eh?
  17. notice how the grading goes from good to XF and that's it... my '84 copy adds ms60, 63, and 65
  18. god those prices are enough to make you drool just think.. in 28 years we'll be looking back at the 2005 book, drooling..
  19. i had a $5 star note the other day but i had to spend it.. ah well
  20. coin shop.. mixed in with a bunch of wheats. it is pretty cool.. shame it doesn't fit in a folder though.
  21. what's this called again? lamination planchet grease error something or other if it's a $15 coin without that.. what ya figger it's worth with it?
  22. these pics are huge i'm sorry... here's my lincoln set, 09-40 at least. it still needs work, but it's a good start.. i'm going for the look first, the grade second.. 14S is a good example of the color i'm after, 13S is a good one too. the scans do this set no justice at all.. but like i said it needs some work for it to be perfect.. 41-58 are the same color, the 43's are reprocessed.. they have a dark silver look. even the memorials are all brown, but that folder needs a lot of work.. it's hard to find new coins in old shape sometimes...
