bobh
I'm interested in lots 474, 475 and 476 -- anybody know what they brought? Thanks!
kopeikin
It is a bit early to expect results. Try to contact Mr. Elmen if you placed bids.

sigistenz
Hi Bob, thank you for the nice entry, it hits the nail on the head. I have little hope to get the 2 coins I bade on, either. If it may comfort you - last night I sniped 5 seconds before deadline but.. but..... somehow the gun did not go off and a lucky someone got the coin at about 1/2 of what I had been ready to pay. Let's be positive - money saved for the next try. Best, Sigi -
kopeikin
Sigi, what sniping tool you use? MAy be it i stime to find a better one?
sigistenz
I am the sniper myself Unless something ends in the middle of the night, then I use MySniper which has been reliable so far. Sigi -

sigistenz
Sounds good. I will start then: After some searching I see that the coin was included in lot #413, estimate $250, realized a painful $2250. Congratulations, there are difficult coins it the lot. I was not lucky. #228 rose to an unbelievable $5750 and #229 fetched $1050, also much more than I had hoped. Too many people share my taste. And too many of them have deep pockets..... BKB
Good detective work, Sigi. Was my attempt to bring some fun into these dull forum times. Here is the remainder of the lot: I ought to try to wash that 1/4 kop -- it looks very untidy...
BKB
My lonely 1838 em 1 kop now has a friend
alexbq2
Congrats to BKB on winning a great lot! I'm surprised that the auction catalog ranked 3 kop 1839 CM as scarce, I would have thought it would be listed as rare. The Sincona coin was all messed up and fetched something like 7000 CHF! And no pictures listed in the catalog?! And still no website?!
BKB
I do not think that it was a real sale on Sincona. The coin is just too ugly. http://www.m-dv.ru/monety-rossii-1700-1917/prohod,107884/coins,2075/type,2496/auction,83/date,2013-10-14/lot,592/images-prohod.html I am still looking for a decent 1843 and 1845CM… The only ones I am missing from the set. 1/4 and 1/2 CM sets were completed with this lot. I liked the lot a lot (pun intended )

In the Brekke/Bakken 1997 update it is listed as VERY RARE. Sigi -

alexbq2
this is not the one you showed me before, right? Nope, that's a marginally better one. BTW, not too long ago there was a very nice 1843 CM on eBay. I didn't win, and while I don't remember the details, the final price was significant. Did anyone else notice that auction?
