gxseries
Not too sure about this particular coin, but there seems to be an explosion of Cuban pattern coins floating around these few years. It is rumored that some Mexican private mint made such pattern coins and when such designs did not sell, instead of melting them down, they were sold. The real problem is to verify if they were indeed pattern coins minted with the purpose of circulating / for sale in Cuba, or else considered as some sort of fantasy.
