Dads Stuff
This coin is a white coin and it is reflective but the obverse is mottled and has a some thin, light scratches. What do you think? VF or EF?
Guest Stujoe
I am no Franklin expert...heck the thing could be a proof for all I know ...and it is really hard to tell from a picture but... I think it looks more EF/AU or up (MS) to my eyes. I base that on the lack of visible circulation marks/hits and the fact that the reverse appears to possible have luster (looking around the end of 'America' on the reverse. I see no way that the coin is VF or less but I would be interested to hear other opinions too.
Scottishmoney
I am leaning more towards EF than VF, it is not an unattractive coin for the type. These coins are notoriously difficult to find with all the details in the hair and bell struck up.
stu62
I can't grade these either. It seems as though theres some luster so I'll go XF.
Dockwalliper
EF unless the scratches look worse in hand.
