Hello Everyone, I didn't want to start a new topic because I am a very old member that has just rediscovered this website/forum. I must say it looks more impressive than ever and I can't wait to dive back in.

I'll bet if you sell them online with a starting price of 20 pounds you will make a nice profit. However the online market is always shaky and I could be way off.

WOW!!!! Very nice example.

Possible Fake Hadrian Denarius!!
numismatistnick replied to numismatistnick's topic in Ancient Coin Forum
This coin weighs 2.7g which seemed right to me but the planchet flaws threw me off. Thank you very much for your information!! -
I have been studying these coins for more than two years. But I think I bought a fakie hadrian denarius The planchet seems to be in two pieces but some of the obverse is struck on the reverse that is attached to the obverse that confuses me. The dealer guarantees all of her coins but I am very skeptical about this one please let me know your opinion. I will very much so appreciate it. Thank you for your time!! http://www.omnicoin.com/coin_view.aspx?id=951526 The upper left obverse seems to have a seem. Please let me know if you think I should return it. Nick Cook

1990 dime copper
numismatistnick replied to numismatistnick's topic in Error and Variety Coin Forums
The dime has no edge reeding at all and weighs 2.42g. At first I thought it was encased and from an old piece of jewelery. Under magnification it is obvious that it is from one solid planchet that was somehow folded in. Thanks again guys. -
