Here is grading challenge #3, the last of this short type set, an 1835 Classic Head Half Eagle. Guess the grade and provide your reasons and I will let you know the opinions of two separate grading companies later in the week.

Details of an XF-40 coin. If there is luster remaining, which I can't tell from the pic but I suspect there is, it may go as high as XF-45 but no higher.

Well, gpnyc seems to have a knack for this! This coin was initially graded by ICG as EF-40, I then submitted it to NGC as a crossover in the ICG slab and they upgraded it to EF-45, which means little to me, since I am rather old school and XF is just XF. It is a very nice original example that I bought raw off eBay about 4 or 5 years ago.
