packmule
Came accross this coin would appreciate any information. Known strike error or a first? Grade? value? etc. Thanks Sam.
Grifter
I'm no expert on the matter, but I would have to say that that looks like post mint damage judging by the look of the coin.
gxseries
Can't really tell from the picture... Would help if you took a close up on the 4 on 0.
LostDutchman
A close up would help....but I am leaning on post mint damage....
syzygy
yeh - need a closeup, but I would guess that it is not an overdate- look how far away the zero would be from the first 4 -> 194 0. Also, it looks like there is another '0' between the L and I in Liberty. It does look kinda cool tho.
Guest 50cents
Can we see the reverse and a close-up of the date. Looks to have been done done with some type of punch after it left the mint. 1944-S has 2 Double Die errors but they are both on the reverse.
