IgorS
In the mean time you can check Heritage floor session. The Internet only session looks pretty good too: Â http://coins.ha.com/c/search-results.zx?N=51+792+4294951117+706&chkNotSold=0&Ne=

The Internet only session looks pretty good too: Â http://coins.ha.com/c/search-results.zx?N=51+792+4294951117+706&chkNotSold=0&Ne=304 Â Â Thanks, Igor! Too bad these are all in plastic. But the pictures are absolutely amazing. Â Also amazing is that the 50 kopeck 1901-FZ was graded MS-66 with such obvious rim dings visible from the reverse at 12 o'clock. But who cares about the edge?

IMIS
Looks like a fire sale....The only question is whether it is organized by 'real investors', or amateurs. IgorS, can you tell?
IgorS
Well, since you want me to, I can tell - it is organized by real dealers.
IMIS
Thank you for the insights. I was just picking on your definition of real investors. Â Wondering what these real dealers are thinking: why would anyone want to increase the supply of coins, while the demand for coins across the pond is experiencing a pretty sharp decline? BKB
Maybe they are thinking the future is more bleak? Not to mention, there is a way not to let it sell for less than you wanted for it.
IgorS
Looks like these real dealers did not consult with each other , which produced large quantity of some otherwise very nice and desirable coin types...
BKB
1849 is a bit overdone :-)
IMIS
Being a fan of Paul's coinage, I like what I am seeing so far. What do you guys think of the 1798 Poltina in MS65?

IgorS
Someone ruined perfectly nice coin If someone wants to see the pdf of the auction, it is now on http://russian-medals.net/
IMIS
I think this is another modern phantasy. It would be interesting to hear arguments in favor of the counterstrike dating back to the Napoleonic era. Hopefully someone from the auction house is reading this forum. IgorS
I remember seeing something similar in the past, also related to Napoleonic era.

BKB
With these things, only the one inflicting injury would know for sure. Unless, of course, it is a published punch mark like Lisenko or Guten-Czapski...
