gxseries
I've been trying to locate 4 more coins of this series to complete it. Couple of these should be easy but I've been lazy. The smaller denomination of 1921 coins are difficult for some reason - probably low mintage from the start. 1922 ruble was hard to obtain in a reasonable price. I'm definitely not considering the 1923 chervonets... http://gxseries.com/dump/russia_1921_23_rsfsr1_small.jpg http://gxseries.com/dump/russia_1921_23_rsfsr2_small.jpg I really like the toned coins. Show off your awesome RSFSR coins!
actelios
That 1922 ruble is amazing, despite those two/3 small signs on the round side .... I gues you paid a lot , am I right?
Rain386
thanks for sharing! Nice coins and gl with completing. My goal is to get them by type, 5 coins and all in mint state. 15k 1923, 50k 1922 and 1R 1921 are now in NGC. I have a strange 10k 1923, below the patina it looks like proof. Altought i dont have any experience with old proof coins with patina, i recognize only new ones that are like mirrors. It surely looks different than any other coin that i have but i dont know....... http://www.upload.ee/image/3608204/proof1.jpg http://www.upload.ee/image/3608209/proof2.jpg http://www.upload.ee/image/3608210/proof3.jpg Any thoughts? vasil
My RSFSR coins: Collecting soviet coins is like an endurance test indeed. I need a lot of patience and attention to find these little piece of metal between hundred of coins at fairs.
gxseries
Very nice coins Vasil. I like them! Actelios - I bought it about last year (I think) when I realize prices of the 1922 ruble kept on going up and up. That was more than what I wanted for - probably more than 200 dollars back then but when I checked the prices recently, it's edging closer to 250 - 400 dollars
