kopeikin
Looking at this coin I was curious myself but was shy to ask same question.
alexbq2
That's the fake EM eagle, and it's hard to see the letters, I think E just looks a bit like K because of the die wear.
sigistenz
That's not a fake eagle, it's Paul's re overstrike with the slightly changed design both sides. The EM looks indeed a bit like KM, but it is EM - there was no KM. Much depends on the angle from which the picture was taken. Nice coin by the way and I think the high price is justified Congrats to the winner. Sigi
alexbq2
I say "fake" since it has never been used in Ekaterinburg.
one-kuna
i think the price was reached by shiel bidding and because of letter K, as grade company was too lazy to place on its label existing letters also two bidders could have competed for letter K as variant not understanding that only EM was in existance cheating and greeding is everywhere, IMXO
kopeikin
actually I looked again and saw it is EM not KM. Try same and you will see that it is just a play of light making it look K when it is in fact E.
alexbq2
i think the price was reached by shiel bidding and because of letter K, Â Almost all bidders had high feedback scores, no shill bidding took place (IMHO).
one-kuna
i wouldnot been placed a high bid few days before auction ends so anyone bid and lift up a price; everyone knows that serious bids come at the end, last few secs
IgorS
I think we all watched this auction. And probably most of us already have this coin type.
one-kuna
$430 was not bad for it
gxseries
I think it's getting harder to find such nice overstrike these days to be honest especially those without corrosion.
