Blackhawk
The Canadian guide that I use is a 2002 Haxby, and while it lists the obverses that were used for the early large cents, it does not list the approx. mintage or values for the specific years. Is there a guide for Canadian coins that does that? I'm interested in finding out about the mintage/value of the two obverse varieties of the 1886 cent in particular, along with any other information about varieties for that year. Here's the photos of the coin that I have with the double punched date. The second punch of the 8 is to the east, while the 6 has the doubling to the south. unicorn
in the 2005 Haxby they give the mintage and the value of each obverse for that year, so does the 2005 Charlton , but to get the proper value of that coin get a coin paper, hope this helps ya. ccg
There are a few dealers who have known about the die varieties for years, but they're extremely secretive about the whole thing.
