I couldn't locate any information regarding this type of tail anywhere in the catalogues. Also, the edge have been recoined from small net to large. gxseries Posted March 27, 2010 Report Share Posted March 27, 2010 I'm not comfortable saying that the bottom dot, that is directly under the eagle is another dot. Instead I believe it's from a previous strike which was then rotated and then struck again. I'm requesting better photos before making any other comments. Please share with me your opinion, it is very important to know. thank you I'm not an expert on eagle designs, I know there are a lot of variations due to large mintage volumes, on top of that these were often counterfeited by criminals due to the fact that there was only 1 kopeek worth of copper in a 5 kopeek piece.
