I believe that is machine doubling. A true doubled die has features doubled by slight rotation about an axis running through the center of the coin face. Note how the doubling is like that here:

"IN GOD WE TRUST" looks like the letters were shifted along the edge whereas "LIBERTY" shows greater doubling on the L than on the Y.

You may be right but it doesn't show up on this scan the way I see it,it's really bold and there are 2 I's in Liberty and in the IN of In God we trust and the vertical lines under the left of the T bar on the rev. are there?? ;) BTW.what do you mean by axis?? That's a new one!!LoL

The first pix were great and somehow I lost them..LoL I'll try again! :ninja:

the coin exsibits Machine doubling flat shelf like images and also has a form of die deterioration doubling as well,

Oh Lord Marianne,I hope you're right!!!!! LoL Just one tiny,wee,small,barely visible heck I don't care at this point.ROFL! ;) does everyone start out hoping for the queen's? LoL I know i'm not normal so i wonder is it just me who look's for the biggie's at first? :ninja: like finding a pink elephant? LoL

I look at every coin for anything. Sometimes I get very disappointed when I see nothing and then all of a sudden there it is, no wait that's not one. Oh well I guess I'll just look somemore.
