Being a collector of this series I have to agree - it is not easy to obtain this type. I've seen only a few in auctions.
Oldman
Monety i Medali 26Monety i Medali 49 Gorny & Mosch 183 Well, you contradict yourself. Even based on your short listing for this type for over last 5 (!!) years of world auctions, it is a scarce coin in ANY condition. Moneti & Medali 26 - went for USD240+fees in 2004 !!!! Moneti & Medali 49 - went for RUR11000+fees in 2008 which is USD425 Exceptional example at G&M 183 went for 5500euros+fees

The correct price realized for 5 kopeks 1802/1806 mixed dies are as the following: Monety i Medali auction #26 estimate $100–300 sold $240 Monety i Medali auction #49 estimate $4 228–6 342 sold $10

one-kuna
I said that I would not buy this coin in such "bargain" deal - there are more better ones - and I was wright because I am able to reference more than anyone to present more pieces; you inverted me twice and continuing inverting which is obvious shows that you are not aware of many auctions of this coin in US and abroad In addition, ebay coin is not really rare enough to continue The rare ones cost more - and as a result of it - this coin is rare in high condition And my math was precisely accurate regarding price realized
one-kuna
Many auction firms / houses like to list for auction common coins as RARE and do not explain or describe WHY it is RARE ?? For example, 2 kopeks 1810 "chiken type" Bitkin 344 is not rare, however some firms like to put RARE next to it if a coin is in better condition or after XF and up and do not write why it si rare. Some extremely respectable firms always explain why, when they listed common coin but with RARE sign "RARE in this condition" - but missing of this couple magic words confusing many folks. Good example is piatak 1804 with 1802/1806 dies - by Uzdenikov - bullet; by Bitkin R1 - rare but not so rare !!!! However RARE IN HIGH GRADE ! one-kuna
the other side Hi, lets talk about serious business: I think your piatak has serious differences from Bakken's one: *bottom feathers and feathers of both wings have different design *neck of two eagle are too fat - zhirnie *small crowns and large one are different from Bakken's one I hope you got a very rare variant - needs further research Are you coming this weekend to us ? Sorry,one-kuna, but I am having problems trying to follow your logic. My posting simply said: "Nice EBAY bargain", that's it. No condition discussed, no price suggested, no "chicken type" (what does chicken have to do with it ???) , just noted a bargain. Period. Your twisted logic leads to nowhere. Sorry, if I hurt your feelings. Please try to critically re-read your postings. Extremely best regards,

one-kuna
I said that I would not bid on this kind of coin from ebay because of low condition (according your picture) with no such high rarity (Uzdenikov (.), Bitkin R1). I continiuesly said that I would bid on one which can be found in better condition and it is indeed much much rare in high condition than one from e-bay in low. Comparasion of low condition and its rarity in this case brings negative to me as this one again not such rare coin to have it in bad condition, so for me it is not a bargain at all For you, what was a bargain, that R1 coin in bad condition sold at $265 ?? Well, I think it would be a good idea to purchase one in better condition and find the bargain there Let me put this very easy way for you: How would you estimate your avatar piece in condition equal to ebay's one - probably same price as ebay's one ! one-kuna
I want my coin to be added to Steve's database. Dear friend, your coin also could be added to others hunter databases from Russia and the rest of the world who regularly checking, searching, downloading from this and other sides. It can be a good idea place your name across a coin image (as Monety i Medali does on their coins), so all interested folks could know that it is your piece
