NumisMattic2200
Is that a Pomegranite on the reverse of this one? I am probably just imagining it... Also, is the reverse even the right way around?
dougsmit
Castulo 2-1st cent BC Sphinx Compare: These Spanish types have a distinctive taper to the flan which was cast in a tapered mold before striking so the obverse is larger than the reverse. Once upon a time some people claimed the portrait was Caesar Augustus but I believe current scholarship has abandoned the idea and it is just called 'head' now.
