squirrel Posted August 28, 2008 Report Share Posted August 28, 2008 I was looking at that first one. A funny greenish tint to the patina, but very old looking. Nothing obviously fake. A tad heavy, by the sellers answer in the listing. Obverse Lettering looks not quite right. Almost convincing, but yes, a very rare pattern novodel to just show up on ebay rings alarms. The details are all wrong and the relief is too shallow...even on a weakly struck one they look different. I hope they get caught, reported, and canned.
