Thee_Immortal_One
Today I recieved the auction results and the notice that I didn't win any lots. I reviewed my bid against the winners and i am HUMBLED!!! Gone are the days when I would win these lots. Gone are the days when I could bid with confidence. But every cloud has a silver lining, and the catalogs are that lining. This catalog shall have a prominent place in my collection of reference material. Thank You Mr. Elmen, you have enriched the hobby with your catalogs (and reciepes). You have also disuaded me from buying slabbed blank planchets. And you will get first shot at auctioning my collection (when I need to cash). The winning bid for the 1724 Kopeck (in a box) was more then 20 times my bid. (I need to get with the modern world and its hip lingo with groovy up-tight-out-of-sight ways) Let the winners rejoice.

squirrel
I received my WWC condolence letter today, along with prices realized. It is interesting to note that the top 2 moneymakers of the sale werent even coins! $250,000.00 for a medal? Ok, so it once belonged to the Czars brother...
