slowly but surely

Someone needs to explain to this guy the magic of compound interest...

FRANKFORT, Ind. -- Frankfort resident Paul Brant considers himself a penny pincher.

But it's his passion for saving quarters and gold dollar coins that's really paid off.

The 70-year-old used more than $25,000 in change Friday to buy a new Dodge Ram half-ton pickup truck.

That purchase comes 13 years after he bought another truck using spare change.

Brant stored his change in coffee cans, water jugs and piggy banks over the years.

He said he got so much change by using vending machines at Chrysler in Kokomo, where he works.

Brant he was escorted Friday by sheriff's deputies as he brought the rolled coins to the dealership.

He said he was raised to be thrifty. His father always paid in cash and saved up loose change to take vacations.

2) man, I wonder what varieties are hiding in that haul

Better make your way to Frankfort, Indian to find out then! :ninja:

Can you imagine the poor accountant who gets called from the back? Salesman calls the person from the back and says something like, "I have someone who is insisting on paying in cash for their vehicle." Accountant thinks it odd, but agrees and comes out from the back only to discover the Sheriff and jars and jars of coins waiting there to be counted!
