  1. http://www.coinnews.net/2009/12/09/2010-pr...-design-images/ 2010 Millard Fillmore $1 Coin Design 2010 Franklin Pierce $1 Coin Design 2010 James Buchanan $1 Coin Design 2010 Abraham Lincoln $1 Coin Design I think the Lincoln dollar will bring a higher demand due to all the Lincoln collectors. It would be wise of the US Mint not to skimp out if there is indeed a higher demand.
  2. Taken from here. "The new coin shows the Hiawatha belt, a symbol of the Haudenosaunee or the Iroquois confederacy. The other figure is the great white pine that represents the Onondaga Nation. The four squares represent the other nations and the arrows show strength in unity." (For the first time I actually received two of the 2009 Native American $1 coins in a dollar coin change machine yesterday!)
  3. I actually got two 2009 Sackies in a dollar change machine today! I never thought I was going to see one of these. (I also got a 2000 Sackie, but since I had a few of these at home I used it).
  4. Thanks for adding the pictures thedeadpoint. I just hope I get to see these, because I have yet to run across a territory quarter for my collection. I'm assuming I will since these are US quarters and shood be distributed in the states.

  6. I'm indifferent about it for the time being. I do wish there was more to the design, but at the same time I kind of like the simplicity of it. I wish the Lincoln on the obverse would be changed to more of a 3 quarters view like on the nickel.
  7. I still have some missing state quarters so I am hoping sometime to get a roll or two of quarters and get lucky.
  8. I hadn't heard anything regarding the US Mint pushing $1 coins for awhile, so this was a little bit of a surprise. http://www.coinnews.net/2009/10/21/walt-di...erican-1-coins/
  9. This past Tuesday I got another nice shiny Lincoln lifer from a Blockbuster. Two in one month's time, man maybe by next year I'll have seen another of the Lincoln designs! Still no territory quarters yet.
  10. I finally, finally got in change today my first 2009 coin. It was at a McDonald's and it was a 2009 Professional Lifer.
  11. When the Prez $1 coins first appeared and there were quite a few topics about them I had posted supporting the usage of the coins. One of my suggestions as how these coins would be a benefit would be to have pool halls with coin operated pool tables use $1 coins instead of 4 quarters (game play = $1 in change). These places can get very busy and I pointed out it has to be easier on the people who empty the tables and fill the coin machines if 4 quarters can be turned into one coin instead. Instead of 4 coins being emptied from the change machine with each dollar now only one coin is dispensed so it's supply of coins isn't depleted as quickly. The same thing with the pool tables. It only needs to accept one coin instead of 4 so it doesn't fill up as quickly. To my surprise I learned recently that a place I go to started doing this. This place has a change machine that dispenses $1 coins and the pool tables now accept $1 coins. Of course I was thrilled that an idea I had actually came to be, even if I really didn't have any direct influence (at least I don't think I did , but who knows).
  12. Besides my $1 coins that I ask for at the bank, I haven't seen any other 2009 coins yet!
  13. Now I'm getting hope that I may actually see some 2009 coins this year!
  14. Wow, they do exist! This is the first I've heard someone actually seeing one.
