ClearwaterCoins
I have several proof sets that I want to open to fill holes in my albums. I have never opened a proof set before. What is the best way to open them?
LostDutchman
the best way i have found is gently rip one end off with a pair of pliers..
cladking
An awl or pointed screwdriver rammed in the seems will open them. Wear goggles or glasses.

Art
I use the small blade of my swiss army knife and go over the seems on one end until they start to crack. Then I force the point in a bit and continue around. The cases give way easily.
