not updated this for a while.
£20 for ALL these. all were £2 except the first
£6
£2 for the rest (and no i didn't get this one in Japan)
-
and i thought a superb hammered penny had the beating of everything :/
-
I thought the larger one was early, very odd how coins from the 1100's were being used in that way with 1768 and latter coins.
-
yes they did have chinese, i suspect the larger one is.
-
been to japan for a couple of weeks, picked up these bits, all coins that seem to have been used as charms etc.
nice design probably used as a charm nailed to a door through the central hole. 21 wave 4 mon from 1768.
and these 2 i need identifying
this one is larger then the others.
the 2 above coins are on some string, there are a few other corroded bits (including another one of the "wave" coins, others are unidentifiable but thicker so perhaps more modern?) these 2 are the key coins, and i want to know what they are, and what the thing is.
there is also a piece of paper with some caligraphy on it but quite faded, its a long piece rather then the usual sized paper

glad this won, wasn't sure if it would, as people do vote for higher grade stuff and nicer designs, i guess people warmed to rarity in this case
-
looks like a normal one to me.
-
looks like terri to me as well, you have to remember that these letters were sometimes joined together so hard to make out properly.
its a nice one, and honestly, never seen a fake one of these.
there is no reason why there ant be obverse lettering errors though.

just wish this started a month later then, got myself a very nice 1928 s merc and 1882 canadian cent
just wish sometimes people would vote for the more intesting things so they are there later to make for a better contest later on.
-
sometimes it seems a bit silly though, US coins seem to be voted for over nicer things it seems sometimes.
-
hard? my best chances of winning are all coppers facing each other , still where else can you vote for a coin where there is one single known example.
-
only problem i have with oldest is. its hard to date roman stuff
i think this one is oldest
-
1933 halfpenny someone used it as a 2p

-

-
i found that shilling in a scrap silver bag as well
too nice to let it die a horrible firey death
-
middle one is... wow
-
was going to enter my morroco coin of the same design but 1 side blurred
-
would love that other one
-
not often, hence why i snapped it up.
-
might be hard to win this >.>

charles II of England which fits in with the 17th century, the red colour on british copper was similar around that time, as that is where the copper came from.
