  1. We had a day trip planned for 9/13/2001 but things went nuts at the boarder crossings and I just haven't have the need or desire to make the trip since. This morning I got a crusty mem cent and a Disney "College of Knowledge" pin. I Googled the pin and found it was given to cast members and travel agents that went thru Disney training.
  2. I look across the river to Canada every day but I haven't been there in 7 years. When I do eventually cross the bridge again I will have a sack full of change to spend.
  3. Walked into the store and checked the return bin...empty. I was about to walk away when I noticed a container on the shelf. I picked it up and gave it a shake. It jingled. 4 quarters,4 dimes, 2 cents and a nickel, all Canadian. 2 race track slot tokens, a key and an elongated cent from Doubleday field in Cooperstown NY.
  4. Clad dime, two clad quarters and a 1971 half dollar.
  5. 10 pennies. 8 in the return and 2 on the floor. 6 memorials, 2 Canadian and 2 wheaties. 1941 & 1929.
  6. After being so hot the first half of the month my last 5 trips have netted me one rather gunky 1974 Canadian cent.
  7. My daughter brought me a Brit. 5 pence she found in the token pull at work this morning.
  8. I'm on a hot streak. Nothin' great but it seems there's always somthin'.
  9. 2004 Canadian dime. January has been a good month.
  10. Today...a really nice 2006 Canadian "Bravery" quarter and a Niagara Transit token.
  11. Canadian cents circulate right along side US cents here. I would guess they account for about 8-10%.
  12. Checked the CoinStar as I entered the store..nada. On my way out, as I approached the exit, I noticed a couple coin on the floor just under the edge of the machine. A quick hand sweep netted me a 1924 wheatie and a nice 1928 Canadian cent.
  13. Two 2007 Canadian cents and a "No cash value/Freedom" game token. First I've seen of the new Canadian mint mark.
  14. Checked the CoinStar as I entered the store....nothun'. I looked over as I was checking out and a guy was using the machine. I was trying to time it right so I would get there just as he finished. As I watched I saw him check the reject slot He walked away as I approached and I noticed a coin on the little shelf. He had pulled a Canadian quarter(1979) out of the reject bin and set it there. As I picked it up I looked down into the bin and saw a dime.......... I pounced. 1964 silver Rosey!!
  15. I found a 1949 GVI Canadian nickel on top of the pop machine at work. I often find coins(that the machine rejected) on top of the machines.
  16. 4 Memorial cents, 7 Canadian cent & a Canadian dime. Nothin' great but I've been skunked the last 3 weeks.
  17. Dang! Your breath melted a hole clean thru her!!
  18. I take my time checking out the sale items that are near to the CoinStar machine or I send my son to pounce once they have finished.
