  1. This is a 2000-D cent compared to a normal 2000-D cent the planchet is almost double thickness and tapered,, any thoughts as to Why ? The strike is good on the coin both obverse and reverse .

I have returned clad proof sets 2 this year ,, One made the trip OK, I recieved the replacement,, but the other one has never turned up!! the mint has no record of recieving the return and the insurance form for the post office is like filling out a class 3 Tax permit to own a machine gun,, it has not been acted on in 45 days now and Im about to have a problem !!! There worth just a tad over face value,, Not much more as a whole!! the only way that any particular cent of that year could be worth more, is Graded MS-66 red and above With the best premiums being above MS-67 Red. Good Luck, if the bag is opened the chances of finding a coin like that is Nill!! Rick
  4. Hey daggit I think the problem is that the pic does not really show to good what your seeing with the coin in your hand ? Maybe you could crop it down to the areas that your asking about ? I can see something at the base of the caribou but its not clear . Rick
  5. Hi Mila_cent It is possible that it is a lamination error, really hard to tell from the photo,, if it is ? its a very minor one and would add nothing to the value of the coin. Rick
  6. 1950-S over S breens # 4350 RPM 1 S first punched well above its final position,, Its possible this is what your coin is , it would show the first S north and under . The 1950 also has a D over S variety, and S over D variety. these are OMM varieties. Hope this helps. Rick
