I also like copper overstrikes, and there isn't a lot of coppers here. Still, what was provided and other coins in this topic from Lenox and others are an eye-treat.

Now, can I ask you guys, perhaps, some silly questions, as I am not into gold. What is this eagle munching on? Why is it also wearing tags on its legs? And what is the significance of L.L. under it (one can also se D.L. under the gold eagle or single L. under St.Andrew)? Later edit 22/12/17: The eagle has 4 flags of St. Andrew: 2 it holds in the mouth and 2 are attached to its legs...
