I saw here only the beautiful ships... but what about the ugly Russian 20 Kopecks 1967 coin with Aurora Cruiser?
-
This medal was initially in a 2003 mint set dedicated to Bucarest City Museum containing proof coins of 1, 5, 10, 20, 50, 100, 500, 1000 and 5000 lei.
The medal is from 800/1000 silver,28 mm, 10 grams in Proof quality, mintage of 10.000 ex.
Official price of mintset was in 2003 400.000 lei (aprox 20$). Only the medat today is in value of 20$... nice aquisition!

Actually, you don't have the one I am desiring at the moment, a 10 Peso note from Cuba, 1997.
I just LOVE the AK47s depicted on the back of the note. If I can take a raincheck until something like this comes along. There are also some notes from the Czech Republic and Vietnam, and others, but the Cuba and the Czech are the cheapest. If a raincheck is not pratical I will make another choice, but guns on money is my favorite
If I remember, on Albanian note 50 Leke 1976 (IIRC...) are some soldiers...

Aha.. you saw it... Happy bidding!

Hi Banivechi!!! You know, from what I am gathering, a partial overstrike detail that you can see should hopefully not cost any more than 15-25USD. Here is another tip though... you might have to look through all the 2 kopeks from 1763-1766, as these are the most frequent years when overstriking happened, and also 1788 by Moscow Mint.
But again, it all depends on how much you can see. A nice overstriked 4 kopeck coin was sold for about 50USD, because the details was more evident.
But... all we know... is that... it would be nice if we had the real one like this...

You received my PM's?

Interesting overstrikes that I come across and they are in my collection now.
1730 Anna 1 kopeck over 1717 Peter I 1/2 kopeck (Mint type unknown)
1731 Anna 1 kopeck over 17xx Peter I 1/2 kopeck (Moscow mint)
1731 Anna 1 kopeck over 17xx Peter I 1/2 kopeck (almost undetectable)
1765 2 kopecks over 1762 PeterIII 4 kopecks
1766 2 kopecks over 1762 PeterIII 4 kopecks (probably double strucked)
Unconfirmed 1798/7 (overdate) Pavel I over 1760s denga... ?!?!?! (too tiny to be traced... but there are some outlines of it...)
There should be at least another three more coming in... so hopefully I can update this list... (I rather not put them in now for the moment )
I am hoping to find a double overstriked coin... as in... 3 different designs in one coin...!!!
Do you have one?
I saw one nice 2 kop 1763 overstrike over 4 kop (it can see IRE .... IKI from Tchetire Kopeiki) with 90 degrees rotation, for sale on ebay. What's the value of these coins? I want to buy one for my collection, but I do not know how much to pay for it...

You have enough copper there to made a transatlantic telegraph wire...

Any metal discs from 0.40 to 60 grams with a date, value, reeded/plain edge...
-
Lead is also a soft metal...
-
I know... because your face can be put only on silver or gold...
-
Why you didn't put your laurated bust on the obverse of the token?

Week ago, QualifiedCoinnut sent to me (surface mail) two Krause catalogues. He said it will take some time until the package will arrive in Romania.
Guess the arrival date, (my city postmark date) and you'll win a new set of 2005 "Heavy" Romanian circulation coins of 1, 5, 10, 50 Bani (they will appears on circulation from 1'th of July) http://www.denominare.ro/common/htmls/en.htm. I will post a picture of package to be sure isn't a trick.
Happy guessings!
