The coins for all five winners are underway, carefully packed in bubble enveloppes. The designs are very simple, but at least the 1 Ban coin will be rare. I'm lucky because I have a friend on the Bank, who helped me to acquire 2 rolls of each denomination... very few saw the 1 Ban coin in circulation because prices here are not 7.49 or 7.99 for ex., but 7.50 or 8.00...

Coming back from holidays this morning, I've found in my postal box a small recipe from postal customs. I think the package is here! This afternoon we will know the winner!

I've just picked up today 400 coins from bank (two rolls of each type), so I will honour my promises... when I come back from Black Sea!

The new banknotes are pretty similar to old polymer notes, but they are smaller and with some minor changes. It appears the biggest 500 lei note, equivalent of 166$ (33% of my salary!), but ATM's are still full of old notes...

Tip: because of their very small value, the 1 Ban and 5 Bani coins are few, and they will become rares soon. I saw only 50 Bani coins in circulation until now.
