Art
Beautiful. The simplicity of the Lidice is wonderful.
tabbs
What Art said ... By the way, strictly speaking these are not "Czech" coins since they were issued in the "Czech and Slovak Federation" years - after the end of the CSSR but before the split. Tiffibunny
Then who do they belong to? They're listed under Czech in Krause.
gxseries
Yikes, that Lidice coin strikes a powerful image.
tabbs
Ah, they must have changed that, though it would not make much sense to me. I have the 2004 KM, and it's in the Czechoslovakia section, in a kind of sub-section at the end. The old name of the unified country was "Czechoslovak Socialist Republic"; its new name (used until the 1993 split) was "Czech and Slovak Federal Republic". The double cross of Slovakia would not be on a Czech coin Christian
Tiffibunny
I like these especially because I was there in 1990, though at that time they were still using Czech Socialist Currency. I'll change the title.
