Goetzdude
K-80 The Spring (issue of water from earth), prior to 1904, Incuse Reverse cast bronze, 228mm. RRRR (one of two in existence). A early composition in Goetz’s “Jugendstil” (youth style) done during his Paris Period in 1900-1904. A very naked young woman leisurely dips a hand of water from the spring located on the edge of the forest. In the background a young shepherdess tends her flock of sheep with the German Alps as a back-drop. Ornate Ginkgo leaves and vines form the perimeter. bill
Exceptional! At some point, it becomes impossible to describe his accomplishments with words alone. Medals such as this deserve quiet contemplation followed by by a quiet, extended wow.
