I can't work out if that's lustre or if it's been cleaned, i presume lustre and the photo's making it look flat. Edward VII is a nightmare to grade, in fact it's my numisphobia. Ætheling Posted April 23, 2006 Report Share Posted April 23, 2006 I agree Edward VII are nightmares to grade. I shall be revealing the answer soon. Add onto that i've only owned about eight Edward VII coins in the last 16 years, of which two were near blank culls, the remaining six were generally middle graders. Can't say i've had any experience grading them as they are well out of my period and were even when i was collecting milled coins, where my cut off period was George II. So i had to take an educated guess based upon the reverse alone from my experience with George V sixpence/shillings, which if the differences between Ed VII and Geo V halfcrowns are anything to go by might be blatantly misleading.
