daggit
I have an 1883 25 cent Honduras coin but it doesn't match the design in the Krause that I have, does anyone have an updated Krause that they could check for me? Or does anyone know about these coins and can let me know mintage, value etc. Thanks
AuldFartte
I don't have one of those coins, but I do have the most recent 19th Century Krause (4th edition). 1883 - no mintage figure given - Values: VG $2.25 F $6.00 VF $10.00 EF $18.50 No other values given. Can you put up a photo so I can tell if it matches Krause? If not, I'll be happy to try to describe it

daggit
Awe CRAP no I didn't! The one I have has the Standing Liberty on it on one side instead of the tree. Is there 2 different designs for the 25 cent and which design is for which years?
AuldFartte
Hmm ... well, the only 25 centavo piece shown with the tree is an 1871 with mintage of 177,000 Values: F $4.50 VF $10.00 EF $30.00 UNC $67.50 The 25 centavo pieces with standing Liberty are dated 1883 thru 1899 (in .900 silver) and 1899 thru 1900 (in .835 silver), but no 1883 with the tree thingie. Hope that helps
