The 250 bogus Federal Reserve notes had 1934 issue dates and were stained to make them look old... Apparently they were to be sold as part of a scam. jtryka Posted March 22, 2006 Report Share Posted March 22, 2006 Very strange, from the CBS article, the top looks like a $10,000 note with coupons attached to it, so maybe he was trying to fake some sort of bearer bonds, but not currency (at least I don't consider bonds to be currency).
