jtryka
Well, the coin is an 06/05, but it might be an O-104a, which would make a bit of a difference as an R-5 vs. an R-4 (though don't quote me on this as I have enough trouble with attributions when holding the coin in my hand!). As for the grade, these coins are tough as they were very weakly struck (my 1807 looks a little worse but graded VF-25). This coin is probably at least a VF-35 in my opinion and might make an EF-40 on a good day. Clearly he is asking full EF retail at $1,100, but it's his coin, so I guess he can ask what he likes! ccg
I'd probably never buy one of these in anything better than AG- they all come with so little detail.
jlueke
I would never consider this more than a VF, but then I do have triuble market grading. But what buugs me the most is the color. The coin looks badly damaged not mint luster filled to my eyes. When you ask over $1000 for a raw coin then your picture better look darn good.
