yarm
I came across an internet copy of Carlisle's "A Memoir of the Life and Works of William Wyon, Esq. A.R.A. " (link below). Here's one of Wyon's later works, BHM 2185, 1844, 73mm - Reopening of the Royal Exchange in frosted silver. The details on this high relief medal are awesome! https://books.google.com/books?id=IVcEAAAAQAAJ&pg=PA140&lpg=PA140&dq=william+wyon+memoirs&source=bl&ots=879i1jQmOT&sig=zFYmDbVFB3kg2Z7xCUsx2bVWA88&hl=en&sa=X&ved=0CEIQ6AEwA2oVChMIpcqx_c7JyAIVWFmICh0c2QvT#v=onepage&q=william%20wyon%20memoirs&f=false

ccg
Great piece! It's always nice to compare medallic works with coins designed by the same artist to see how they compare

thedeadpoint
Agree. Even at that larger size, that is swell detail.
yarm
William Wyon was the subject of a posthumous laudatory medal in 1854. Produced by the Art Union of London, the portrait on this 56mm bronze medal (Eimer 1480, BHM 2535) was engraved by L.C.Wyon. Britannia stands atop four hippocampi on the reverse.
