sigistenz
See here a 1794/82 overdate. It is unlisted in the 1997 Brekke/Bakken compilation. As we see below the date cannot have been changed from a 1782 die - the 1782 coin had a different wreath both sides and a different crown. The date must rather have been recut on a die of 1788 and later years (below). And a closer look on the overdate indeed reveals also an earlier "9". Our overdate is 1794 over 1792 over 1789. Brekke/Bakken lists 1792/89 but not 1794/92/89. The coin went too high - I was outbidden by far Sigi -

squirrel
Thank you, Josh. It doesn't matter much - maybe better luck next time. How are you doing? Best, Sigi - No new coins for me in a LONG time..... not too much since my now 4 year old son was born! My "discretionary" budget is directed elsewhere. But I still like to tune in here regularly, and watch the auctions.
