ElleKitty
I would like for someone with more knowledge of imperial Russian coins to look at this ruble. I picked it up this weekend at my coin shop, from a grouping of other Russian coins. It looked good enough to me to risk purchasing it, but I am by far not an expert on Russian Numismatics. I look forward to reading your opinions. Thank you in advance. The coin appears to be a 1727 Ruble of Peter II, first year of issue. The mint mark is not really readable, due to an imperfection in the flan. I do not know if the imperfection is due to strike or pour. IgorS
The coin appears to be genuine. I think I see SPB mint mark below the bust.
