Some Guy
I am by no means a coin connoisseur so I'm not sure about this coin. It looks like it was pressed too hard or maybe it's just a fake. The outer lip sticks out on both sides and there are no ribs around the coin. Sorry about the bluish tint in the light. Any info and opinions are welcomed! ccg
Coin is genuine, but not an error - it's just been beat up.
Some Guy
How do you suppose they've done it? I forgot to mention, the size of the coin is just smaller than that of a regular quarter.
ccg
I don't have a link to it, but somewhere on this forum is a discussion of coins found rattling around for a long time in washing machines that end up like this. If you take a regular quarter, turn it on its edge, and tap it with a hammer (while spinning it), then throw it into a rock tumbler with some rocks or steel shot, you'll get something like this eventually.
