Dave
i got those banknotes yesterday i think they are very nice and colorfull Very nice notes - specimens too! - 2010 aren't they?
chinnotes
Yes, although the date on the scans is not very clear I think they must be the newest issue, dated 27th April 2010, as they bear the signatures of governor Sheku S Sessay and deputy governor Andrina Rosa Coker. It is the first time I see these notes as specimens and I am surprised that they bear no word “SPECIMEN”. The last series, printed by Thomas de la Rue, shows “SPECIMEN” in red. Saor Alba
The guy on the first note is a candidate for the best looking on a banknote category when we have Popular Banknote Idol sometime in the future.
boydle
Certainty the first guy must have been particularly highly regarded for such a scary looking man to make it on to a bank note
Balaji Murthy
The person pictured on the 1000 Leones Note is Bai Bureh. More information about him here http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bai_Bureh
