hiho Posted January 20, 2010 Report Share Posted January 20, 2010 It looks like a 1791 silver ducat from the Netherlands. Minted in West Friesland. The date side looks normal, but the knight side appears a little odd. Nevertheless, I think it's genuine. Possibly worth between $150 - $250. As much as I know about 18th century Netherlands coins (enough to be dangerous) I think Marianne should have a look. She knows more about the West Friesland issues than anyone I have ever met.
