bobh
Nothing rare, overstruck or exceptional. What do you think ... are these realistic prices considering today's market? All prices for common date EM mints: G: $10 VG: $15 F: $20 VF: $30 EF: $50 AU: $80 UNC: $120 (for KM, somewhat higher ... all others perhaps as "special cases" since either rare or more or less "interesting" depending on overstrike, etc.) Thanks for comments! Hi Bob, interesting question! As to EM - not all dates are easy but don't you care for an EM 5kop in G, VG, Fine, they are not worth collecting as they use to appear in better grades on eBay. I'd even avoid VF if not a difficult variant (visible overstrikes on 10kop1762 other than 1763 or the scarce/rare eagle variants or mules, overdates, etc., etc.). A common EM coin in XF (by US standards) can be found at less than $50 - but there is the eye appeal, some XFs fetch more. Each of them is unique!!! I think the forthcoming Bakken sale will be a landmark. Meet you there? Sigi
alexbq2
visible overstrikes on 10kop1762 other than 1763 Are there known EM overstrikes of the 10 kop 1762 apart from 1763 and 1764?
sigistenz
Are there known EM overstrikes of the 10 kop 1762 apart from 1763 and 1764? Yep - according to Diakov, EM overstruck 28.200 pcs and struck 41.081.100 pcs on new planchets dated 1765, did no overstrikes in 1766, overstruck 13.400 pcs plus 37.006.300 pcs on new planchets dated 1767. None mentioned thereafter. Aside of being very rare, it cannot be said if the post 1764 overstrikes are (all) visible overstrikes. Sigi
